The Golden King of Mali - Mansa Musa ( Musa I of Mali ) was the ruler of the kingdom of Mali from 1312 C.E to 1337 C.E. During his time, Mali was one of the richest kingdoms in Africa . he was the richest individual in the world among the richest people ever.

He was extremely wealthy, It has been suggested that he was the richest person in history. but his actual wealth is not known with any certainty. he carries 18 tons of gold on his hajj.  Which promoted the appearance of having vast, inexhaustible wealth by spreading rumors that gold grew like a plant in his kingdom.

One of the most iconic displays of Mansa Musa's wealth was his pilgrimage to Mecca in 1324. He brought so much gold with him .According to Arabic writer, Musa gift giving is the reason a depreciation on the value of gold in Egypt. The value of gold was worth 25 silver dirhams dropped to less than 22 silver dirhams afterward and it doesn't go above that number for at least 12 years. This has been described as "wrecked" Egypt economy.

The empire of Mansa Musa was a vast territory rich in gold making him extremely wealthy . And also salt, copper and other valuable things trading made him so wealthier than any other wealthy people.

Akbar succeeded his father, Humayun under a regent ( the person who rule the country at the absence of a king and queen) Bairam Khan. Bairam Khan helped the young emperor expand in the indian subcontinent.

Economist research shows that Mughal Dynasty was one of the most effective empire of all time at extracting wealth from the population.

The empire wealth came from technological innovations and extreme skill tax collection.
